Port Gamble Wind-Wave Analysis for Floating Upweller Systems Facility (FLUPSY)

Fain Environmental conducted a wave height analysis for the Port Gamble Fain Environmental conducted a wave height analysis for the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe for the proposed site of two Floating Upweller Systems (FLUPSYs) in Port Gamble Bay. We analyzed historical wind data and calculated significant wave heights. We determined the maximum breaking wave height for different wind direction and speed scenarios. Our breaking wave height was used to design the FLUPSY anchors.
