Cemetery Creek Pedestrian Bridge Replacement

Fain Environmental performed geomorphic, hydrologic, and hydraulic analysis for the removal and replacement of an existing pedestrian bridge for Bellingham Parks. We assessed the geomorphology and developed a hydrologic and hydraulic 1-D Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) to assess the amount of clearance between the 100-year water level and the bottom of the proposed bridge and potential scour. The proposed bridge will adequately convey floodwaters and allow for fish passage.
